Man Charged In Suffolk For Selling Counterfeit Shoes & Clothing.

SUFFOLK, June 19, 2008 -- Police seized hundred of counterfeit items from a store in Suffolk, Virginia today with an estimated value of $33,000.

Police also charged Corey J. Hayes for his role in the criminal operation of the store called Offical Street Gear. Amoung the items seized were 260 pairs of shoes in addition to clothing.

Police acted after customers complained about the quality of the merchandise. Police oversaw the purchase of some items and consulted with an expert to confirm counterfiet nature of the items before making an arrest.
