After graduating from Taylorville High School in 1989, Chris attended Millikin University in Decatur, IL. He majored in Writing and minored in German, while squeezing in business and marketing classes. As a student he served as a student reporter for The Decaturian in addition to working as an Abstract Writer and Editor for the newspaper abstract The Bahamas Index & Yearbook. After graduating with honors in 1993, Chris worked as a reporter before becoming the Copy Editor and Art Director of two arts and events magazines. As an art director, Chris frequently had to create original artwork for the magazines and their advertisors. After six years in the world of publishing, Chris went to law school at the University of Richmond where he served as an Articles Editor on the editorial board of the Richmond Journal of Law & Technology. In his third year, Chris organized a charity tennis tournament with corporate sponsorship to raise funds for the Legal Information Network For Cancer (LINC). Chris received his JD in 2002 and passed the Virginia bar exam on his first attempt. After years of working for other law firms, Chris decided there were better ways to serve the needs of his trademark clients while combining his own talents in law, business, graphic design, and office management. Such was the genesis of this trademark law firm. In his spare time, Chris is active in the community and enjoys golf, tennis, basketball, skiing, reading, photography, playing guitar, and recording original music. Licenses
