Top 100 Most Powerful Brands For 2009 Announced By BrandZ.
NEW YORK, April 30, 2009 -- International market research and consulting firm Millward Brown Optimor announced its third annual BrandZ Top 100 Brands Ranking and stating that brands are becoming ever more valuable and powerful in driving business growth.
The rankings were based on data compiled by The BrandZ study conducted annually by Millward Brown which measures the brand equity of 50,000 global consumer brands. The study also included information gathered from 1 million consumer interviews conducted globally. Consumer perception of a brand is a key input in determining brand value because brands are a combination of business performance, product delivery, clarity of positioning, and leadership. In addition to utilizing independantly gathered data, the Top 100 ranking assesses financial data from Bloomberg and Datamonitor. The ranking also takes into account regional variations across countries.
